Spring Break

For spring break this year, I was able to go to Tucson, Arizona and run in a half marathon with some close friends.  We made a girls weekend out of it.  Ryan took the kids to St. Louis to be with his parents.  Everyone had a good time on their respective trips.

The view from our pool at the Hilton El Conquistador.  Kristin's friend works for Marriott and was able to get us a good deal on a stay there for our trip.  It was especially nice since it was cold and snowy in Denver during our trip.

Before the race

After the race--we all finished under 2 hours!

On our way to what was an amazing gelato shop called Frost.  We ended up going there three times.  It was that good!  And we are that obsessed with dessert.  We had no problem indulging after running 13.1 miles!

Two days after the race we went on a 5 hour hike in a nearby state park called Catalina.  It was such a pretty hike!

We hiked to some natural pools and "cliff" jumped off the rocks into the pool.  I use the term cliff-jumping lightly because it definitely seemed higher when you stood looking down, then looking at it from where this photo was taken.

Our last night there we went to a great Mexican restaurant called El Charro Cafe.  The host got us in a lot sooner then the hour wait had predicted.  A little charm never hurts!

Grandma Bredow had a couple surprises for Bella and Bo when they visited--Elsa and Olaf!

Grandma knitted Bella that hat with a matching one for her doll.  They loved playing with and petting  Bill the cat.
