Liebich/Grandma and Grandpa Buescher visit

Later in July and early August, after we had time to recuperate from our travels, we had some house guests.  Liebichs and Grandma and Grandpa Buescher came to visit.  We had a blast even though it was a whirlwind of trying to jam as much into a week as possible.
Ryan and Jonathan squeezed in golf a few times while Becky, myself and the kids did some garage-saling and park hopping.
We spent a day at the famed Water World (don't bring it up just yet with Bella and Paul--too soon after a couple of scares), Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and then went to Rocky Mountain National Park.

Checking out the tortoise at the petting zoo.

Our neighborhood had a summer picnic/carnival.  We went on pony rides!

We went to a Rockies game one of the nights.

Amy and Paul went with us.  It was their first major league game.
Bo was tuckered out by the end of the night!

Rocky Mountain National Park provided us with a lot of  wildlife  sightings.  This bear was a little too close for comfort.

This is at one of the highest points.  Thankfully the weather held out for us.

If you look closely, you can see a marmot sitting on the top of the rock.

Elk

They had fun climbing the rocks after our lunch during which we saw several  chipmunks and even  a few deer.
